Away: Journey to the Unexpected is a love letter to Japanese animation by a team of two.

It invites you on a very unusual journey in a charming and strange 3D world populated by 2D characters.

Away is a light hearted short story that mixes action, silly dialogue, roguelike elements and smashes a bunch of cute creatures to overcome any obstacle in your way.

Your neighborhood looks like it needs some serious monster cleaning. Away could have been one of those gory FPSs if you weren't a harmless kid armed with...a wooden stick.



Characteristics:

- As you throw yourself into danger, investigating missing parents and very strange happenings, you will need to find allies. Fortunately, your neighborhood is full of strange but powerful characters.
- You may not be mortal, but you are very good at making friends! From the angry mine-throwing tree to the rocket-launching robot or fireball wizard
- See the world through your allies' eyes, first-style, whenever you summon them. Be warned, it can be quite a visual experience! And don't wear them out too fast, kid!



- A 3 to 5 hour journey around a colorful world with unique visuals, featuring 2D characters living in a 3D world
- Unveils a fun and light story with just a hint of rogue-lite elements
- Recruit up to 8 quirky characters, each with their own unique abilities
