Paper Mario Color Splash /Wii-U

The game begins with a disturbing mystery involving a missing Toad, a blank Toad-shaped letter, and a postage stamp from a seaside resort, Port Prisma.

It's extremely fresh to start the first hour of a Mario game without a kidnapping of Princess Peach, but -spoiler!- she is eventually kidnapped.



But the story isn't just about saving Toad. Port Prisma and the surrounding vacation spots have been overrun by a sadistic contingent of shy guys.

Their lungs are particularly large, using straw to suck color and life from their surroundings and, worse, from the locals of Port Prisma, who are mostly hapless toads.

As usual, Mario is able to save the day, but not without a special paint splatter hammer and the guidance of a talking paint bucket named Huey.
