In a not-too-distant but dystopian future, the world's energy crisis has only worsened, and the few remaining resources still available to be exploited are in remote and inhospitable places.

The world has moved on from oil and gas to a new resource pumped from deep below the earth's surface. Although this highly radioactive gas is much more powerful than other fossil fuel sources, it has an unpleasant side effect.

Toxic and lethal to humans without a protective suit, it has also caused mysterious and grotesque mutations in previously harmless species.



These creatures have grown to gigantic proportions and developed a crude form of intelligence, determined to destroy all human efforts to convert radioactive gases into usable fuel.

Here's the solution: risking the lives of too many heroic young technicians, humans have already begun training and arming pipeline crews to defend and repair the facilities.

With the help of a powerful arsenal of destructive weapons and precision engineering that results in deadly weapon turrets, the brave technician-soldiers can do their job with at least 2% chance of survival (up from 0.000002% before).
