Sims 2: Castaway (Essentials) /PSP

The Sims franchise embarks on an island-themed adventure with The Sims 2: Castaway.

Players can create from one to six characters, customizing their appearance, personality type, occupation and more before setting sail, getting caught in a storm and shipwrecked on an uncharted island.

After waking up on a deserted beach, your character (or party) must try to survive and eventually explore three adjacent islands.

Specific objectives to complete are documented in books scattered across beaches, jungles, caves, mountains, and other areas.



Tasks range from making fires and acquiring tools to building structures and finding lost treasures.

If not cared for properly, characters can lose weight, wear out their clothes, grow scruffy beards, and more.

While most of the game involves gathering resources necessary for survival, including fruit, shells, plants, wood, chickens, and other items, the characters are encouraged to learn more about the islands and their inhabitants by venturing into the unknown.

Featuring a more open design than previous Sims games on consoles, Castaway gives players the freedom to live on the island or escape to the familiarity and comfort of modern civilization.



Characteristics:

- Help your Sim meet their basic needs to survive.
- Discover various islands - Explore a variety of new environments; beaches, caves, lagoons, jungle, plains and volcanic mountains.
- Craft everything - Create a new life from scratch. Develop tools, build a shelter, craft furniture, create clothing, and create art and entertainment.
- Gather and collect - Gather fish, catch animals, grow plants, collect shells, rummage and decode treasure maps
- Thrive or Escape - Build a comfortable life on the island or find a way to escape back to civilization.
- Hazards include wild pigs, storms, famine and other surprises.
- Along the way, characters will learn new skills and gradually change their appearance.
