Archetype Arcadia is a dark sci-fi visual novel set in a post-apocalyptic world where a mysterious disease called "Original Sin" has exterminated most of humanity.

The story revolves around Rust and his sister, who roam wastelands and desperately search for other people alive.

All other humans are assumed to have fallen victim to the disease that causes its sufferers to suffer from insanity, sensory illusions, and uncontrollable self-destructive impulses.

The only way to control these symptoms is to spend time inside a virtual game called Archetype Arcadia.



Rust does not suffer from this disease, but when his sister, who suffers from this disease, mysteriously stops responding one day, he must enter the immersive virtual game and navigate this unseen world to find a solution for his sister.

Within the game there is a whole new world full of people and monsters. A world where wearing a gaming device allows players to use powerful memories and corresponding avatars to battle each other. While this virtual existence is supposed to delay the disease, it also has serious consequences.

As Rust makes his way through this strange world to find a cure, he meets various people with unexpected identities and origins, makes unshakable friends, and no doubt a few enemies along the way.

Archetype Arcadia is a plot that unfolds beautifully and shockingly, taking the player along a journey of mystery, suffering, friendship and salvation.
