Holger Badstuber is a German former professional footballer who played as a central defender or left back.

Badstuber made his Bundesliga debut for Bayern Munich in the 2009–10 season at the age of 19. He played almost every game that year and helped the club win the league and cup double and reach the UEFA Champions League final in the same year.

Before eventually earning a call-up to the German national team for the 2010 World Cup and later Euro 2012.

He won over 30 caps with Germany. Former Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal said in 2010 that Badstuber was the best left-footed defender in Germany.
