Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories /PS2

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is an action-adventure game, set in an open-world and played from a third-person perspective, just like other games in the Grand Theft Auto series.

The core gameplay consists of elements of third person shooters and driving games, giving the player a large environment to move around.

On foot, the player character is able to walk, run, swim, jump, as well as use weapons, both drawn and melee.

The player can drive a variety of vehicles, including cars, boats, planes, helicopters, jetskis, and motorcycles.



Characteristics:

- The open world of the game, non-linear, allows the player to explore and choose how they want to play the game.
- While story missions are required to progress through the game and unlock certain areas and content, they are not necessary as the player can complete them at their leisure.
- When completing story missions, the player can freely explore the game world.
- The player can also participate in a variety of optional side missions.



- Traditional side quests from past games are included, but have been improved over previous titles.
- A new side mission exclusive to Vice City Stories is "Beach Patrol", where Victor (the player character) must deal with bikers on the beach with beach buggies, save people from drowning, or bring a paramedic for injured people on the beach.
- One of the key gameplay elements in Vice City Stories is "empire building". New to the Grand Theft Auto series, it borrows some ideas from the "properties" of Vice City and the "gang wars" of San Andreas.
