The latest in technology
Blacklist reinvents the franchise from the roots, bringing into play the gadgets for which Splinter Cell is famous - from an upgrade to the mini camera to the new micro drone that allows Sam to scout ahead, mark targets from a distance, distract enemies. Blacklist also brings back fan-favorite weapons like the Sticky Shocker, and for hand-to-hand combat, the curved and brutal Karambit knife.

Build a new Echelon
With a direct mandate from the president, Sam begins building a new overall unit - Echelon, in his own way. Anna Grim Grimsdottir is the technical operations manager, CIA agent Isaac Briggs brings additional firepower, and hacker Charlie Cole brings the team back together. With unlimited resources, including a super jet - the Paladin, Echelon 4 will not give terrorists a chance to hide.

The strategic missions interface allows Paladins to follow events around the world in real time, so that Sam and the team can follow incidents as they unfold. SMI allows the team to receive data about mission objectives while on the move, and players can earn money for completing missions and objectives and can purchase upgrades for weapons and items from the SMI hub.
