Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is an action-adventure spin-off game that bridges the mystery adventures of the critically acclaimed Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair.

Komaru Naegi, Makoto Naegi's younger sister, has been locked inside a mysterious apartment for over a year.

One day, she is rescued by Byakuya Togami of the Future Foundation, but the rescue is derailed by a sudden attack by hundreds of Monokumas.

- Komaru soon discovers that the town has been taken over by a group of children who call themselves the Warriors of Hope.
