Mathieu Valbuena is a French footballer who currently plays for Apollon Limassol in the Cypriot First Division. He was an international with the French national football team.

Valbuena is a French international and made his debut for the team in May 2010 in a friendly against Costa Rica. He scored his first international goal in the same match and as a result was named in the squad to participate in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Valbuena appeared in just one of France's three matches at the World Cup. In November 2010, he scored his second career international goal against England at Wembley Stadium.
