Bastian Schweinsteiger (born 1 August 1984 in Kolbermoor) is a former German footballer who, since the end of his career, has been a pundit on ARD's Sportschau show.
He played for FC Bayern Munich for 17 years and played 500 competitive matches for the club.
He became German champion eight times with Bayern and won the UEFA Champions League and the "big" treble in 2013.
After a spell in England at Manchester United, he was most recently under contract with Major League Soccer's Chicago Fire until 2019.
