NBA 2K21 is a basketball simulation video game to be developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports based on the National Basketball Association. It will be the 22nd installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K20.

Lillard is the first Blazers player to appear on the cover of a 2K game. 2K and Lillard are also collaborating through the 2K Foundations to renovate a community center and basketball court in Oakland.

NBA 2K has made some aesthetic changes to the game.

Along with the obvious updates in lighting, the game has added more jump animations.

Instead of having the usual boring animations with the occasional super excited reaction, the game will have new, more interesting animations.

The biggest additions revealed by 2K are Damian Lillard's "bye-bye" movie and the LeBron James powder fest.

This year's game was marred by uncertainty.

The game launched its pre-order months in advance, but is releasing news related to the game now.

While the improvements to the neighborhood are great, fans would have appreciated the news sooner.

Adding a competitive edge helps set casual players apart from the rest. Players will also have more incentives to play for rewards.

Adding NCAA teams to MyCareer will freshen up the game.

The drafting process feels more rewarding if you're actually representing an actual college team. It helps fans get into the story being told.
