In Skylanders Trap Team, the Portal Masters seek out and confront the biggest villains in Skylands, transferring them to the real world with the help of magical Traps, after defeating them in the game, and having them then fight on their side.

This time, the game also includes the Traptanium Portal, a magical ring that allows kids to bring Skylanders characters to life and capture villains using the new Traps.

Once defeated in the game, children can capture them by placing a Trap inside the portal. They will also be able to hear the captured villains inside the Traps, an innovation that really brings the toys to life.
