Hope's Peak Academy is home to Japan's best and brightest high school students - beacons of hope for the future.

That hope is suddenly dashed when Makoto Naegi and his classmates find themselves locked in school, cut off from the outside world and subject to the whims of a strange and murderous teddy bear named Monokuma.

He pits the students against each other, promising freedom to anyone who can kill a classmate and get away with it.

It's up to you to find out who Monokuma really is and why you were taken from the world you once knew. But be careful what you wish for - sometimes there's nothing deadlier than the truth.



Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Jabberwock Island - once a popular tourist destination, this now uninhabited island remains strangely pristine.

You and your classmates at the elite Hope's Peak Academy have been brought to this island by your super cute teacher for a "school trip full of love and excitement".

Everyone seems to be having fun in the sun, until Monokuma returns to resume his murderous spree!

Trapped on this island of mutual murder, your only hope of escape lies in solving the island's mysteries. But be careful - sometimes the truth can be its own despair.

- As your classmates start falling like coconuts, you'll have to investigate each crime incident, look for clues and interrogate your classmates to uncover the opportunity, motive and means behind each murder case!
- You'll go head-to-head in all new mini-games with the other students during the class trial, knocking down their fake truths and using your evidence to discover what really happened.
