A fierce battle takes place in the realm of the Norse gods, as the goddess Hel has been banished for defying Odin, the lord of Asgard.

Angry at her fate, Hel raised an army of resurrected Viking warriors to wipe out all of humanity in the mortal realm of Midgard, attempting to cause Ragnarok.

The task of stopping Hel and protecting the future of humanity falls to Skarin, a promising but flawed young warrior who is ignorant of the true reason he is favored by the gods.
