In the One Punch Man, superheroes are regulated and funded by a corporate bureaucracy called the Hero Association. Each hero is classified in one of four levels depending on their power level, their heroic deeds and their performance at a written test. Saitama, the protagonist of the series, is probably the world's strongest hero, able to defeat any single-punch opponent. However, Saitama does not always track all the traps of being a hero, and so it is continuous at the bottom of the rank. It regularly saves other heroes - and sometimes the world - without being recognized for its heroic deeds.
Players will fight in teams of 3 people made up of characters in series. The art trailer and preview implies that the game will be very stylistically similar with the anime and includes Saitama, the Proter, Genos, the largest rival of Saitama, Speed-O'-Sound Sound and members of the Hero Association, Hellish Blizzard and Mumen Rider. It is not yet clear whether the bastards in series, apart from Sonic Speed-O'-Sound, they can be played or if they only serve as opponents. The launch date has not yet been announced.
NAMCO bandages publish for decades and has a powerful record both in the arena fighters, as well as anime adaptations. They are the publishers of the Dragon Ball Z, who began to strengthen for thirty years. Dragon Ball Fighterz last year shot the Steam record of competitors of a fighting game. Namco banda is also behind Gundam's adaptations, Naruto and Ultraman.
Adapting One Punch Man as a fighting game presents an interesting challenge. How can developers build a fighting game around a person so strong that it seems boring fighting? Saitama will sometimes retain either modesty or hopes to be provoked. In the trailer of the game, we see it by throwing more strokes on Genos, so it is likely that a kind of accumulation will be needed when you play like a saitama. However, the series world is quite appropriate for a tournament-style fighter. Perhaps players will get more details on how One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will address this balance problem as the game is approaching the launch.
