The Council begins in 1793. Take on the role of Louis de Richet, a member of the secret society, after he is invited to a private island off the coast of England.

With him are a number of high-profile guests, including Napoleon and George Washington.

The strange nature of this reception goes beyond the prestigious guests - Richet's mother has disappeared on the island, while each of the colorful cast has their own agendas.



In a new twist on the genre, the core gameplay of The Council comes from manipulating and maneuvering through character encounters using the unique social influence system.

During confrontations, limited skills and resources can be used to gain the advantage and achieve the desired result.

Failure of an encounter does not mean "game over" and no action can be resumed. The consequences are permanent and can result in persistent physical disfigurements or mental traits that help or hinder the rest of the player's adventure.
