The action takes place in the city of Kowlong, inspired by the Hong Kong, where the players take control of an entity called Hyoki.

Without physical form and amnesia, Hyoki has the mission to eradicate the parasitic creatures called "slitterheads", which devour the human brains and take over the identity of their victims. 

Hyoki is a physical and memories -free entity, determined to eliminate all slitterheads.

Its ability to possess human and animal bodies allows it to sail through the city of Kowlong and infiltrate various organizations.

Although the host bodies are fragile, Hyoki can use their vital energy to create blood, essential weapons in the fight against enemies.

The alliances with "rarities" offer him additional, essential skills in his mission to discover the truth about his own existence and the origin of Slitterheads.
