Red Dead Redemption is a Western-themed non-linear action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games.

The action takes place at the end of the Western era and follows the story of John Marston, a former outlaw who, after being betrayed and left to perish by the members of his gang, tries to lead a simple and peaceful life with his family.

However, after the Bureau of Investigation kidnaps his family and forces Marston to work for them, he must return to his violent lifestyle and find and kill members of his former gang in order to get his family back.
