As of November 2018, he is currently working as an editor at a shōnen manga magazine at a major publishing house, although he actually wanted to be in the literature department.

Akaashi has short, messy black hair and blue eyes with thin pupils and slightly thick eyebrows.

He tends to wear an emotionless or slightly exasperated expression most of the time, but is shown smiling occasionally given the circumstances.
