Blue Dragon Plus (#) /NDS

This DS sequel is set one year after the original Xbox 360 title and returns players to the story of Shu and his companions, who control powerful ghostly shadows.

At first glance, you might mistakenly think that Blue Dragon Plus is a strategy game in the style of Final Fantasy Tactics, with small, hand-drawn heroes and monsters arranged on an isometric 3D stage.

But once the fight starts, everything starts happening in real time and you have to feverishly come up with your plan of attack, because those enemies don't wait for your turn.



You command your units on the field with quick but simple controls that rely entirely on the touch screen.

You tell your units where to go, who to fight, when to heal, and when to move to special areas on the map.

It feels like your attention is constantly needed everywhere at the same time, but the game gives you some margin for error by providing a large number of healing items.



Characteristics:

- There are a total of 16 playable characters, including Shu, Zola, Kluke and Jiro, General Szabo, the mechanical man, and several new allies.
- Each has strengths, weaknesses, and a powerful shadow monster they control.
- Blue Dragon Plus takes place one year after the events of the first game.
- The original story of Blue Dragon Plus was written by Hironobu Sakaguchi, with artwork by Akira Toriyama and music by Nobuo Usmatsu.
- More than 30 minutes of computer-animated 3D movies tell the story between missions.
