The Honda CR-X (stylized in some markets as the Honda CRX), originally released as the Honda Ballade Sports CR-X in Japan, is a front-wheel drive compact sports car manufactured by Honda from 1983 to 1991.
It was produced in almost 400,000 copies during this period. The first generation CRX was marketed in some regions outside of Japan as the Honda Civic CRX.
Those from Mattel wanted to bring to life the one used by Honda in the Formula 1 races in 1985.
