Lost Planet 3 introduces you to Jim, a pilot who leaves Earth to sign a risky but lucrative contract on E.D.N. III.

Working for Neo-Venus Construction (NEVEC), who are preparing the planet for colonization, Jim reunites with his former pioneers at the Coronis base and begins to survey the planet and collect samples of thermal energy.

As NEVEC's existing thermal energy reserve runs out, the fate of the Coronis mission depends on the location of the natural energy source.
