Marvel Trading Card Game - NDS

Based on Upper Deck's best-selling playing card game, the Marvel Trading Card Game allows players to collect over 800 cards based on their favorite Marvel characters and compete in cross-platform online play in a variety of different ways.

The Marvel Trading Card Game allows players to assemble their own deck and face various challenges to obtain more cards based on legendary Marvel characters such as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Avengers, The Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider and more.



In the game's single-player story mode, players choose to play as a hero or villain and select a range of enemies to fight.

Between each clash, detailed scenes from the comic tell the game's story, as players choose to move on to the next enemy or explore a branch of the story for a chance to get extra cards.



Characteristics:

- The game uses Upper Deck's `Vs. System'', a flexible game engine that represents massive battles between Super Heroes in a playing card game format.
- Each player starts the game with their own team of Marvel characters and tries to defeat their opponent's cards. System Vs. System is specifically designed to be played at all levels of competition and can be played in a variety of formats.
- Using a sophisticated online network, Marvel Trading Card Game allows players to interact with the game's online community to compete in a variety of game modes and tournaments, trade cards with other players, and even purchase new cards from the game's online store.
- The game offers several different modes that use each player's personal decks or randomly generated decks for an authentic tournament experience for four or more players.
- Local multiplayer is supported on the Nintendo DS and PSP system versions of the game via each system's wireless link capabilities.
- Cross-platform online play allows PSP and PC players to play Marvel Trading Card Game together, while Nintendo DS players can use Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection to play online.
- Players on all platforms will be able to participate in regular sanctioned tournaments for valuable prizes.
