In this game, players enjoy classic and challenging Pokémon RPG-Adventure gameplay as they capture wild Pokémon and use them in battles against other trainers to see who is the best.

Characteristics:

- Pokémon White Version is a portable role-playing game (RPG) to be played on the Nintendo DS / DSi.
- Additional features include: access to the legendary Pokémon, Zekrom; the player's choice of one of three starter Pokémon; a new and diverse game region.
- Multiple new battle modes; the ability to exchange Pokémon wirelessly; multiplayer options and more.
- Capture and train 156 new 5th generation Pokemon with new moves and abilities.
- Explore the new Alleos region and try to save it from the nefarious plans of Team Plasma.
- The Alleos region also contains two exclusive zones for each version, depending on which version of Pokemon the player owns.



- White Forest: A forest that contains wild Pokemon and trainers you can battle.
- The player can find certain Pokemon from previous Pokemon generations in the grass patches.
- The player can also participate in a competition where once a day they have to capture a certain Pokemon
- Black City: A city full of tall black buildings where the player can battle other Pokemon trainers and acquire rare items.
- The player can challenge the trainers they find here to Pokemon Battles once per day.
- Their wins are tallied and the player is rewarded with money to spend on rare, hard-to-find items in the game: Pokemon.
- White Version introduces the Seasons mechanic, where the in-game environment changes depending on the month we are in in real life.
- The seasons change monthly, rotating through spring, summer, autumn and winter according to the DS system's internal clock / calendar.
