S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a series of critically acclaimed and highly revered first-person shooter games with strong survival horror elements!

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Games takes place in an alternative reality, in the area around the site of the Chernobyl disaster, colloquially known as the Zone. 

Experimental laboratories were built in the area that allowed scientists to experiment with the psychic abilities that emerged as a result of the disaster. 



- Their experiments led to a second disaster, causing physical and meteorological phenomena to manifest throughout the area, as well as the mutation of wild animals and some people. 
- The area is full of such anomalies: dangerous phenomena that seem to defy physics, having various effects on any object that enters them.
- Anomalies also often produce objects known as artifacts, objects with special physical properties such as anti-gravity or radiation absorption. 
- People known as trackers enter the Zone in hopes of finding such objects for personal financial gain. While a large number of followers work alone, various factions populate the Zone, each with their own philosophies and goals. 
- For example, the Duty faction believes that the Zone is the greatest threat to humanity on the planet and intends to destroy it by any means possible; instead, the Freedom faction believes that the Zone should be accessible to all.



- The protagonists of each game have their own goals, separate from those of the various factions, but are presented with opportunities to aid in the plans of others. 
- In general, the ultimate goal of each game involves reaching the center of the Zone, a task complicated by the various threats and dangers present within it.”
