- Usurpator is a sequel to Shrouded in Sanity, however, knowledge of the first game is not necessary, it is the second part of the Skautfold series of games.
- As the Eldritch horrors have been unleashed by the Citadel from the outside world, your task is to rid London of its terrors.
- Use the new "Guard" system, which rewards skillful play and precision, to uncover the massive structure and defeat the nightmares lurking within.
- Usurper's combat system is built around "Guard".
- A system that allows the player to attack through attacks and take risks, rewarding precise timing and risk assessment.
- Instead of immediately losing health when the player is hit, they will lose "guard points" (which act as a regeneration shield).
- When these run out, the player will take damage normally.
- However, if the player accurately dodges through the incoming attacks, it will convert a large part of the attack damage into "guard points", which allows you to change the course of the battle and gain the advantage.
- This is a system that will allow anyone to get into the game, but still provide a high skill ceiling for those players looking for a challenge.
