The Takeover is a side-scrolling beat'em up inspired by '90s classics like Streets of Rage and Final Fight.

Fight alone or with a friend in local co-op in any of the three game modes presented, Arcade, Survival and Challenge.

Fight your way through 7 stages and over 20 unique locations using any of the four playable characters or switch between them in real time in Relay Mode, which can be unlocked.

The gameplay is designed around a new combo system that allows you to punch and punch.

Quickly ground enemies, keep them dizzy, or throw them into the air, and keep juggling.

You can also find and use weapons such as crowbars, swords and machine guns scattered through the levels. Last but not least, each character is equipped with a unique side weapon, but ammunition is scarce, so use it wisely.

Characteristics:

- The soundtrack featured in the game features music from Little V Mills, Richie Branson, James Ronald and Yuzo Koshiro.
- The game offers three difficulty modes, Easy, Normal and Hard. In Hard mode, the game always starts from stage 1, there are no sequels, and the enemies are faster, more aggressive and there are more. This setting is for hardcore old-school beat'em up fans looking for a challenge.
- Artistic style consists of a mix of high-resolution pre-resized character sprites and detailed real-time backgrounds, built with 1080p or higher resolutions.
- The story is presented through comic book style cutscenes.
