XCOM 2 is the sequel to the 2012 Game of the Year award-winning strategy game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, only those living on the edge of the world have a leeway, here, a force once again gathers to defend humanity.

It's been 20 years since the world's leaders offered an unconditional surrender to alien forces, and XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, has been left decimated and scattered.

Now, aliens rule Earth by building glittering cities that promise a bright future for humanity on the surface, while hiding a sinister agenda underground and eliminating all who disagree with their new order.

Always on the run, the remaining XCOM forces must find a way to rise from the ashes, expose the insidious truth behind the occupation, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all.



Characteristics:

- Take command of the Avenger, an alien supply ship converted into XCOM's mobile headquarters
- Five soldier classes, each with their own skill tree, including new class skills
- New game systems provide more tactical flexibility in combat, the state of the world affects the environment of each combat mission
- Use stealth to ambush enemy patrols. Loot enemies for valuable equipment and artifacts
- Rescue VIPs and rescue fallen comrades by transporting them to the extraction point



- A diverse cast of enemies, including alien regime enforcers, ADVENT, as well as powerful new alien species
- Configure and build cameras on the Avenger to give XCOM new capabilities on the battlefield
- Use scientists and engineers to research, develop and improve weapons and armor
- Go on missions all over the world, from wild lands to the heart of alien-controlled megacities, to the depths of alien installations
