Naruto: Ultimate Ninja /PS2

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja brings you the cell-hued action you enjoyed in the popular cartoon. Use a variety of fighting moves, including basic attacks, combos, supers, and projectile attacks.

The game, and the series in general, is a 1v1 fighting game based on a 2D free-motion plane similar to Super Smash Bros., with stage hazards and bottomless pits to fall from.

A unique aesthetic to this game is that battle entries and victory screens are rendered in manga-like comas/panels.

Another unique aesthetic is that every time a round starts after the coma/panel style intro, the two opposing characters retreat from each other along the ground by jumping back a set distance from each other with the back- leaping.
